Jacob's Birthday Celebration

So this year, Jacob's birthday was on Thanksgiving day, November 25th! My plan was to wake up early and make breakfast for him and finish decorating downstairs with balloons. So the night before I set my alarm for 7:30 am, thinking I would beat him to getting out of bed. I was wrong. You have to understand that 7:30 am is EARLY for a pregnant woman, especially at 29 weeks. He got out of bed that morning and I had to make him stay in bed. Malachi and I then went downstairs and fixed breakfast. We also got to put up the balloons that we had arranged the day before. They were hidden in Malachi's closet. After breakfast was done we headed upstairs and served him breakfast in bed and gave him his gifts.

We made an omelet, cinnamon raisin toast, and a yogurt parfait for breakfast.
Jacob received slippers, because I know he'll never buy those for himself.
New pj pants to go with the slippers.
And, his most wanted gift, the new NBA JAM game that had just come out.

That evening we spent Thanksgiving with the Serayderian family. They invited us over for dinner. I also bought him a pralines ice cream cake from Marble Slab. It was delicious.

On Saturday we went up to Camden, NJ to the Adventure Aquarium. It was really cold that day and unfortunately didn't get to see the seals or feed the penguins but the other displays were entertaining.

Malachi thought he'd be dad's height if he stood on the rock.

 Downtown Philly.

This is the coolest tunnel. You have sharks all around you!

That was a shark Malachi was trying to touch. I don't think he knew what consequences there were if he actually did touch a shark.

That evening Jacob wanted to finish his birthday celebration by going to Red Lobster. I figured it went with the theme of the day. Going to go see an aquarium and finish the day with eating fish! :)

The birthday boy!

You can never go wrong with Mac & Cheese for Malachi

Oh yeah, and his apple juice.

And his silly moments. Trying to immitate Po from Kung Fu Panda when he pretends to be Master Chifu.
