One year old!

I can't believe that Hannah will be 1 tomorrow! Yesterday, Jacob and I were watching a Sixers game and realized last year on that same date we were at a Sixers game. And there were only 3 of us! Two days later, there were 4 of us!

I had a whole celebration planned out for her! Balloons (which she loves!) everywhere, a Minnie Mouse decked out house. I even made her a tutu going along with the theme.

I did finish it! ;)

Unfortunately, that is all going to have to wait. My grandfather passed away on Wednesday night and we'll be flying to Texas this weekend for the funeral services. Then as soon as we get back, Jacob is off to a Conference Retreat for his job and doesn't get back until the following Sunday. So Hannah's birthday will be at a halt.

But oh how she's grown!

She loves to eat! I think at 9-10 months she gave up on baby food. She wanted the real thing! She loves spaghetti...

oreos, of course...

and bread. Recently she's into cheerios with milk!

She loves to play cars with her brother.

And loves him oh so much! Now that she's walking, (I forgot to make a post on that one) she follows him everywhere he goes. And loves to be chased by him.

She even waits for him outside the bathroom door!

She is a goof ball! She makes these silly faces all the time and I always miss them with my camera. But here are some cheesy smiles...

We are very blessed to have her be a part of our family! She has a strong will and can sometimes throw her own tantrums, (I blame that on being a girl). Malachi never threw tantrums until he was 3. She is so fun to play with and see her grow into a beautiful little girl. I can't believe how much she's grown in the last year. It is sad to think my baby is not much of a baby anymore. I love that girl too much! Happy 1st Birthday Hannah!

Our Story

Jacob and I met with the help of my uncle, David Martinez. My uncle was the bishop of a ward Jacob served in during his mission. He gave Jacob my cell phone number, or so Jacob thought, during a phone call Jacob had with him after his mission. I had already met Jacob during his last two weeks of his mission, Norma introduced us, because his last area was my home ward. Jacob and I started hanging out in Provo when Fall school semester started at the Y. And that's how it all started.

Jacob and I were married on June 2, 2007 in Dallas, Texas.

We lived in Provo, UT while both of us finished school on April 2010. Jacob majored in Sociology and I graduated in Chemistry.

We lived on the East Coast, Delaware to be exact, for almost 2.5 years! We enjoyed it. Made some amazing friends! I loved the warm, mild climate and all the green trees! I guess because it reminds me of good ole' Texas.

We recently moved to Frisco, Texas. And are loving the area!!

We have a 5 year old boy who's into action figures and loves music. He will start kindergarten this Fall 2013 and is learning to read. He is good at math. He has the most charitable heart and is the best big brother a sister could have.

Hannah "banana," like we call her, is 2! She is into action figures just as much as her brother. We are slowly introducing her to Disney princesses and is a Little Mermaid fan. She loves to mimic her brother and follow him everywhere. She is my drama queen and the one that tests my patience the most.

Rachel is such a mellow baby. She is coming up to 7 months. She is my big baby! She is starting to become more interactive and sits up on her own. She is sleeping through the night and slowly eating solids. Her routine consists of eating, sleeping, and exploring the world. As long as she's fed and diaper cleaned she is content.
