I am actually excited yet a bit stressed. Hannah is still a small toddler. She won't even be two when the baby is born. Which means double diaper duty, double special care, and double work!
But I'm excited too. If it's a girl they'll be so close in age and be the best of friends. If it's a boy, Malachi will have a buddy to even out the odds of boys in the grandchildren pile, at least with Jacob's side.
It is also very neat because on both sides of the family there is someone else pregnant as well. On my side, my sister Norma is expecting. She found out a week before we did. And is due a couple of weeks before I am. On Jacob's side, his sister Luree, is also expecting. She's due late May. This baby will be blessed to have cousins its age.
We had our first ultrasound appointment this past week. Not much for a six week baby but a .4 cm size one. As we were walking out of the office Malachi turns to me and asks, "So mom, what are we going to call her?" I don't know if he knows something we don't. Or maybe is just speaking from experience with his previous sibling that it was a girl. But we'll just have to wait and see.
I'm actually feeling ok. I don't want to jinx it, so I won't go into detail.

Congratulations! Ayva and Naiya are only 18 months apart, how far apart will your two little ones be? You'll have a lot of fun. I'm excited for Norma as well. Tell her congratulations for me.

@Fina, my brain is not functioning recently. :) They'll be more like 21 months apart, not 18. I guess 18-21 are not that much of a difference. lol But yeah. All I hope is that I can get Hannah potty trained close to her 2nd birthday or before to save on double diaper duty and expense! :)
