26

So I turned 26 on the 9th! "It's sad to realize I'm going downhill on the 20s scale!" That was my response to my parents when they asked how I felt on my birthday. But honestly it wasn't as depressing as I thought. Maybe when I hit 30 I will! I feel like I've accomplished a good amount of things at the age of 26. I've been married for almost 5 years, have 2 kids and one on the way, graduated from the Y with a chemistry degree, and have learned how to be a better daughter, wife, and mother/parent. The latter being the hardest. The other night Jacob and I read an article from Elder Ogletree in this month's Ensign and he quoted President James E. Faust,

"In my opinion, the teaching, rearing, and training of children requires more intelligence, intuitive understanding, humility, strength, wisdom, spirituality, perseverance, and hard work than any other challenge we might have in life." Article

I definitely agree! Anywho, before I get off on a tangent. My birthday celebration was  a blast! I was awaken by my birthday gifts which my lovely husband, who's known for his fancy gift wrapping (sarcasm), surprised me with. Gifts wrapped in a HUGGIES  box! Brilliant! Don't let the box fool you, there were definitely some cool gifts in there. A new Petunia Pickle Bottom diaper bag and new Nike shoes for my Zumba workout. (That workout during this pregnancy has really helped with my energy boost and nausea.)

Friday night we ate at the Cheesecake Factory and I had a slice of my fix, Key Lime Cheesecake!

That night my friend Kristin had planned a game night for couples. So Jacob and I left the kids at home with a babysitter and had some fun adult time!

On Saturday we headed to PA for some miniature golf. It was a good thing it was an inside course. And had some apple cider donuts! They were yummy!

Overall it was an adventures weekend!

Glad you had a great birthday! For some reason when I turned 25 I felt like I was getting so old. I know 25 isn't old by any means, I think I just felt like time was flying by and before I knew it I would be old!
