Mainly for Malachi. We've, (Jacob and I) been wanting to enroll him in some sort of extracurricular activity since we moved out here. Because that boy has energy! But most of the time, he's not old enough for such activities.
When the summer started we came across the idea of joining a pool and thanks to our friend Kristin for that brilliant idea! And after much deliberation of whether we should/shouldn't because 1)the weather wasn't warm enough at first, and 2) we were going to be gone for two weeks to Texas, we finally decided to join the Y!
We are thrilled about it because,
1) We can use the pool everyday if we wanted too. Though I don't want to get too dark!
3) Malachi's best friends, Johnny & Hannah (not baby Hannah), are at the pool when we go. And so are other friends from our church.
2) I can attend their Zumba classes with babysitting available for both Malachi and Hannah.
3) They have basketball and soccer classes for Malachi starting in September. I think Jacob is more excited about this than Malachi.
More than anything it gives us a place to have fun!

I love the outdoor pool. I have fond memories of going to them as a kid. Looks like you guys love it too.
LOVE the Y. The nearest one from us? An hour away. Tragic.
Yay! And we love that you guys are at the pool. It's a whole different experience for Johnny when Malachi is there and when he isn't. :)
